Sausage Jack, A Sonnet
I haven’t written anything with Sausage Jack in it for a little while. Here’s something in sonnet form, about him. Just playing around, really.
If you’re not familiar with him, he pops up in these pieces; Coffee, Clowns and Sausages, Strange House, Wurstland, Food, Storms and Consequences, A Chat and A Drink, Sparklers and Sausages and Yellow London.
When unexpected, he tends to appear,
no matter the place in which you may be
a look at his fingers, may first cause fear,
though he’s friendly and loves helping, you see
He always ensures that hunger won’t win
though in a quite unconventional way,
for his sausage fingers are long and thin,
they detach before cooking, right away
This leaves him no fingers, but panic not,
for he then sings and they return once more
so even if what’s needed is a lot
he can provide sausages by the score
so if you’re in trouble, he’ll have your back,
the enigma who’s known as Sausage Jack
My writing is free, though writing does take time, especially when balancing work and family life. If you wish to support my writing, I have a subscription option or if that’s not for you, there is also my ‘Buy Me A Tea’ feature, above, which all help to keep the words flowing.

I want to bite his sausage fingers. Is that bad?!
What a legend! Now I’m wondering about his toes… 🤭
